GENERAL:

  • All rules/regulations are to be strictly reinforced; all rules/regulations are also specifically stated in The Coliseum Waiver(s).
  • All players must be a minimum of 10 years old to play. All players age 10-17 years of age must have written permission from parent or guardian in the form of a signed waiver.
  • Any safety infraction or neglect of rules and regulations can result in immediate ejection from game or The Coliseum premises.
  • The Coliseum reserves the right to deny any person patronage
  • Ensure you listen to the safety briefing given by The Coliseum staff.
  • Do not use a paintball marker until you have been versed on its use and understand such use.
  • Face Masks and Goggles MUST be worn at all times inside the game fields and during play.
  • Closed toed shoes must be worn at all times.
  • Markers must have at ALL TIMES either a barrel sleeve or barrel plug on when not in game fields.
  • All markers must shoot no more than 280 fps (feet per second) and will be test fired by The Coliseum personnel before play begins. You may not alter the setting after test has been performed, The Coliseum reserves the right to check a marker at any time may its velocity be in question. 
  • All paintball markers should be carried with the barrel pointing downwards to the ground while not in the game fields. At the end of each game, before exiting the game fields, barrel sleeve or barrel plug must be reattached on markers.
  • Shooting outside the game fields including shop, parking lot, cameras etc are prohibited. Anyone caught shooting outside the fields will be removed from the Coliseum Premises immediately.
  • Intentional dangerous behavior will not be tolerated.
  • No physical contact of any kind is permitted.
  • No use of foul or abusive language, and/or racial or sexually offensive remarks will be tolerated.
  • No threats of any kind are allowed.
  • Always follow and abide by referee/marshals/staff instructions/decisions. The decisions of the marshals are final and may not be disputed.
  • No alcohol or drugs of any kind will be permitted on the premises and anyone found under the influence of any alcohol or drugs will be removed without a refund.
  • No unauthorized equipment or potentially dangerous gear is allowed. All firearms, knives, machetes, paint mines, etc. are prohibited. The field operator must approve all equipment allowed on The Coliseum premises.
  • Marker modifications are prohibited. Players are not allowed to modify safety goggles, rental markers, bunkers, or any property on the premises.
  • Spectators are required to wear safety goggles unless they remain a minimum of five feet behind safety netting at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • No pets are allowed except for service animals.

GAME RULES:

  • Your face mask and goggles must be worn at all times while in game fields and during play.
  • When not playing, barrel plugs or condoms should be on at all times.
  • Never point, cock or load the paintball marker while it’s pointed in the direction of any person or object, outside the perimeter of the active playing field. Vandalism, endangerment and mischief are crimes. Knowingly shooting towards a person you know has no safety or unsafe equipment will make you liable for injury sustained and criminal negligence. Even if there are no paintballs in your marker (which should not be assumed) there maybe shell fragments, dirt, sand, or other loose materials that can cause damage. Additionally, any air blast at close range could be damaging. No dry firing.
  • Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Your finger should not be on the trigger in a neutral, safe zone, no goggles required or non-playing areas.
  • A “hit” player may not wipe off paint to remain active.
  • Do NOT shoot closer than 5 feet.
  • Never shoot someone with a barrel directly touching their body.
  • No blind shooting.
  • Do NOT deliberately shoot and aim at the head or face.
  • Never shoot at any player showing a neutrality symbol (raising marker or hand over the head).
  • You may not fire on a player who has already been “hit” and is exiting the game.
  • Do NOT shoot at anyone not involved in the game.
  • You may not fire on a The Coliseum staff member who is not an active player in the game.
  • No shooting at wildlife, airplanes, automobiles, parachutes, etc…
  • Do NOT shoot marker once you have left the game field.
  • Do NOT leave the game fields during play. Players must stay within defined field boundaries or get staff/referee permission otherwise. A “hit” player may not fire at an active player.
  • No climbing of trees, vehicles, or any structures 4’ or higher or part taking in any dangerous or hazardous activities while playing.
  • No constructions of Booby Traps.
  • If a player seems to be or appears to be injured, an immediate stop of the game will occur and immediate assistance will be given to injured player by staff and team.

SAFETY:

  • Keep your mask on at all times when on a field.
  • Never look down at the barrel of a paintball marker, even when the power source (air tank) disconnected. Some paintball markers still store enough air to shoot a few paintball after the power source is disconnected.
  • Do not use a paintball marker until you have been versed on its use and understand such use.
  • Keep yourself hydrated while playing: drink lots of water, even if you are not really thirsty.
  • Stretch before you play.
  • Never assume that a marker is empty.
  • Always be careful when unscrewing a tank from gun. If the brass fitting isn’t moving, STOP.
  • Never try to take a tank apart to try and repair it. Take it to someone who is qualified to do it.
  • Keep markers and tanks out of direct sunlight when not in use.
  • Replace your lens as needed. Never play with a cracked or broken lens.
  • Make sure that any tank you use is up to date (hydro date).
  • Never use a damaged CO2 or HPA tank.
  • Never over fill a tank.
  • Never alter equipment.
